About SSC CGL Posts 2016 – Tier 1st and 2nd Exam Details-
Staff Selection Commission organized every year Combined Graduate Level. This exam is conducted once in a year for SSC CGL posts 2016 the distinct openings of officer’s rank in the various government departments. There are two tiers followed by an interview for the selection process.
SSC-CGL is an exam of continuous hard work, sincerity and firm determination. All these things give the fruitful result for the lifetime by giving you an entry in the government sector and that too at the post of officer.
SSC CGL Vacancy 2016
Graduate candidates in any stream can apply for the vacancies. Graduation should done from a recognized board or university.
Candidates who are in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
The application form is out in the month of February. A very nominal fee of Rs 100 is charged for the General and OBC candidates. SC/ST as well as the female candidates is exempt From the fee. Payment of the fee could done both online as well as offline.
Age Limit –
Only candidates between the age group of 18 to 27 years are eligible to apply for the exam.
Mode of Exam of SSC CGL :
Recently, there is a change in the mode of exam. Previously it was held on paper and pen mode. But this year the exam is conducted through the online process. Online conduction of exam is an easier, much more reliable process as compared to the offline. Both the modes of English and Hindi are available for giving the exam.
The question paper consists of total 4 sections. Quantative Aptitude, Reasoning, English and General Awareness. Clearing the cut off in individual subject is not a must.
SSC CGL Tier 1st Exam:
The total duration of the SSC CGL Tier 1st exam is of 75 minutes for the normal candidates. Handicapped candidates are given a total duration of 2 hours to complete the test.
A total of 100 questions are there in the question paper. Each question is of 2 marks. Candidates should attempt only that question, about whose answer they are sure. There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for attempting the wrong answer. The tier first exam was held from 8th to 22nd May this year.
SSC CGL Tier 2nd Exam:
Tier 2nd exam is for only those students who have qualify the 1st tier of exam. The second tier exam usually happens in the month of August.
The candidates who have cleared both the tier 1st and 2nd exam will only get a call for interview. Interview process happens in the end of the December month.
After passing all the stages of exam, the selection committee generates the list of qualified candidates.
Pay Scale of SSC CGL :
The pay band varies from Rs 9300 to Rs 34800 for the different post.
